Lula's Child Care Inn

Our purpose is to provide, our parents in the community, a healthy happy
environment where children may have the adjustment into kindergarten.

      "A GOOD BEGINNING NEVER ENDS" and preschool is where learning
begins.

The happiness and well being of each child is of utmost importance to us. We
help to develop each child's growth socially, emotionally, physically,
intellectually and spiritually. Because children differ in experience and
background, and do not learn the same things at the same time or in the same
way, our curriculum is adapted appropriately for each child.   Our atmosphere is a
safe 'home' environment where children are worked with as individuals and in
small groups as a whole and given meaningful activities that are developmentally
appropriate.   Daily outside play (weather permitting) is provided to encourage
your child's physical abilities.

While enrolled with us your child will be provided a loving, Christian based,
enriching atmosphere in which to safely learn and explore developing life skills,
social interaction, relationship building, positive self-image and self-confidence.

Our main goal for your children is to provide them with the foundation necessary
to help them realize their full potential, both in the immediate present and as they
grow to their successful future.

Open M-F, 6am - 6:00pm
Operate on a structured day
Use a routine and structured curriculum

Homework folders go out on Fridays to be returned on
Wednesdays
Daily behavior charts for review
Monthly reports cards given
Monthly Newsletter given to parents
Yearly school calendar provided at the time of enrollment
Quarterly "Field Trips" for kids & their family (No
Transportation). Parents will meet at the field trip site
with child and be prepared to stay (Parental Involvement)
Nutritional breakfast, lunch and a snack served daily
Parental involvement encouraged
Daily outdoor play (weather permitting)
Potty Training (when ready with parent assistance)

Lula's Childcare Inn is conveniently located in Memphis,
Tennessee in the Perkins, Barron & Goodlett Rd area.
This business was started by me, Ruthie Tuggle, in the
late 1980's. I am a mother of 4 and a devoted wife for
30+ years. In the early 80's, as a military wife I was in a
country where I had no one that I could trust to keep my
children while my husband and I worked. I felt the most
secure and practical thing for me to do was to keep my
own children. Several months into keeping my children,
other military families started to inquire about me
providing childcare for their children. I started to
research how I could start a childcare business on the
military base for families abroad.
Research lead me to open a successful childcare
business. I ran the childcare in Germany for 8 years until
my husband received orders to return back to the states.
Immediately, after we got settled in the United States.
I took the necessary steps to continue the childcare
business. Here I am today as Lula's Childcare Inn.
